Midnight
A real cat-induced jump scare is followed by this same cat in the closet performing a "cat scare". Yes, there is a difference. A black cat being called "Midnight" is yet another cliché but so is nearly everything else in this remake.
Baby
After David Harris (Dylan Walsh) throws the crazy cat lady, Mrs. Cutter (Nancy Linehan Charles), down her basement stairs, he gets a chance to cuddle "Baby". You know that was his real motivation, right?
