This black cat gets an early "meta" moment when, after he jumps out on Mary Norton (Julie Peasgood) for a second time, Kenneth Magee (Desi Arnaz Jr.) remarks, "It's all part of being a black cat. It's one of their specialties. The only thing is, with all the doors and windows shut, how the hell did he get in here?"
