Although Rick (Rick Peters) brought this black cat into "Hull House" to use in a rather sick practical joke, his girlfriend Shirley Finnerty (Zoe Trilling) takes quite a shine to the cute little fellow.
When Melissa Franklin (Merle Kennedy) accidentally frightens the cat away, the pretend "sacrificial victim" changes from a cat to a Mouse due to Melissa's nickname.
